School of Health Sciences

  • The School of Health Sciences focuses on human health and safety in the areas of public health, environmental health, occupational health, patient health, law enforcement and policy, and ergonomics.
  • Nearly 70 percent of the school’s graduates further their educational goals through master’s degrees or PhDs in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician’s assistant, and public health. In addition, health sciences students are very successful in gaining admission to medical, dental, optometry, and chiropractic schools.
  • All majors except radiological health science have a similar curriculum for the first two years. This enables students to understand the rigors of a multidisciplinary science-based education before making a commitment to a particular program.
